Because it is a purchase rather than a subscription, the store occasionally re-verifies it. If the store confirms the purchase is gone, Pro keeps working for 14 days with a notice. After that, sniffQR pauses your Pro checks and switches every Pro setting off, and they come back when the purchase is verified again. It does not quietly switch you to online scanning instead.
